This year's honorees are Ridgefield's Doyle Coffin Architecture, Bethel Economic Development Office, Howard Lasser of Brookfield and Hancock Hall, located in Danbury. The event will take place at Matrix Corporate Center, 39 Old Ridgebury Rd. from 7:30 to 9 a.m.

The fundraising event will celebrate the Cultural Alliance's 10th anniversary year by recognizing business leaders and volunteers who help support the arts.

Doyle Coffin Architecture will receive the top honor, the BSA Award. The second generation architectural firm has provided more than $250,000 in support and services to cultural organizations. “We are extremely honored to receive this recognition from the Cultural Alliance of Western Connecticut", said partner Peter T. Coffin, AIA.

Bethel Economic Development Office, winner of the Arts in the Community Award has spent several years designing the walking art tour in downtown Bethel that was put in place this summer.

Howard Lasser is Heart of the Arts honoree. A longtime Brookfield resident, former finance executive and political candidate, he has dedicated nearly two years to help the Brookfield Craft Center as their executive director. “Howard’s commitment to the craft center is indicative of his understanding of how critically necessary the arts are to the health of a community,” said Mary Daniel, former chairman of the board of Brookfield Craft Center.

Recipient of the inaugural Arts Impact Life Award, Hancock Hall is a nursing and rehabilitation center that brings art and culture to their residents through a partnership with the Accessible Art Project. “The impact on the lives of those who live at Hancock Hall and the staff that work there has been tremendous,” said Kathy Hehl Curran, Director of Admissions.
