Preserve New Fairfield invites the community to come in and have a look at the “everyday” past of New Fairfield. Learn about farming, industry, women’s work, children’s toys and more.
Holiday shopping items available include t-shirts and onesies with the logo “Made in New Fairfield,” notecards featuring black and white drawings of The Hubbell House and The Parsonage by local artist Greg Miller, and pewter ornaments of the New Fairfield Town Hall.
In addition, the book, “Images of America Series – New Fairfield,” will be available, as well as the book about the New Fairfield men who served in the Civil War titled “New Fairfield Answered the Call” by local authors Agnes Betty Trimpert and Linda Decker.
A collage of buildings super-imposed on the 1867 map of New Fairfield is a one-of-a-kind work of William McCann, a lover of history, nature and photography.
The rain date for the event will be Sunday, if necessary.
The Hubbell House Museum is located behind the New Fairfield Senior Center.
