Dancers include students from Brewster, Carmel, Mahopac, North Salem, Pawling, New Fairfield, Danbury, Brookfield and Somers.

More than 150 dancers, ages 5 to 18, comprise the award-winning performance team, which travels the northeast from Feb. through April competing against other studios at various events.

More than 160 routines were performed, including solo, duets, trios, and group numbers in contemporary, hip-hop, jazz, lyrical and tap.

The dancers learned the routines in August at a two-week choreography camp, and have been rehearsing over the past few months in order to prepare for this performance. The Showcase is offered as a free event so that friends and family can come and support the team before they officially start to compete next month.

This year the team will also travel to Connecticut and Massachusetts.

“The Showcase is the most exciting event our performance team does all year because it is the first time we see all of our new routines on stage and in costume," Jaclyn Yarusso, Performance Team, Co-Director, said. "That means our season has officially begun. It gives all of our students the opportunity to work out their nerves and get rid of all the kinks before they start to compete in front of judges. We also love seeing our team in its entirety after months of hard work in the studio."
