Field Of Flags: WestConn Honors 7K Service Members Killed In War On Terror

DANBURY, Conn. — Students and faculty members at Western Connecticut State University have created a memorial on the midtown campus in Danbury to honor the U.S. service members killed in the war on terror.

There is a flag placed on the lawn for each of the fallen 7,008 service members who have died in the line of duty since Sept. 11, 2001. 

"WCSU students and faculty have placed a U.S. flag representing each sacrifice," said a statement from WestConn.
