BROOKFIELD, Conn. — Women can meet other runners, socialize, gather information, get advice and participate in demonstrations to help them on the journey toward a healthy, active lifestyle as the Woodbridge Running Company in Brookfield holds its first-ever Ladies Night.
The event will be on Thursday, June 30, from 6:30 to 8 p.m.
Topics that will be addressed include:
- How to get started in running
- Information about joining a running group and meeting other runners
- The different kinds of fitness programs available to women
The night's itinerary will include demonstrations of massage therapy, yoga and other forms of women-specific fitness programs.
Those in attendance may also receive assistance in getting properly fitted for a supportive sports bra, and will be entered into a free raffle for running items.
Casual, comfortable dress is recommend to facilitate participation.
Light snacks, sweet goodies, and hot and cold beverages will be provided, and participants are invited to take advantage of 20 percent savings store-wide (excluding Garmin products) on all purchases made that evening, and get some free swag.

Woodbridge Running Company has been located in Brookfield for six years, moving last summer from the Four Corners area to its current location about a mile south, at 632 Federal Road.
