Y officials have said the pool will officially open to members on June 17, the weekend of Father's Day.

The outdoor pool is slated to have a seasonal bubble erected in October of this year, but before the 15,500-square-foot bubble could be completed, other projects had to take place:

  • The exterior of the new Youth Development and Aquatic Center is complete and building mechanics are nearing completion.
  • Sidewalks have been installed.
  • A new driveway entrance with a roundabout has been paved.
  • The small pavilion has been relocated.

The Y hopes to have new locker rooms completed by the end of July. Until then, temporary bathrooms, showers and changing areas have been installed.
