BROOKFIELD, Conn. -- The Greenknoll YMCA in Brookfield organized many successful activities for its Healthy Kids Day last weekend.

On Healthy Kids Day, the Brookfield Volunteer Fire Department and Candlewood Company Inc. were on the scene, training junior firefighters.

Some of the activities included:

  • The Brookfield Police Department and The City of Danbury Police Department were in attendance talking about bicycle safety. 
  • The Bicycle Center was on hand performing free safety checks and allowing people to test ride some of the latest bicycle technology. 
  • The Brookfield Volunteer Fire Department and Candlewood Company Inc. were recruiting new junior firefighters.
