Brookfield Doctor Fined Over Late Diagnosis, Death Of Bethel Patient

BROOKFIELD, Conn. – Danbury Hospital heart doctor Robert Jarrett was hit with a $4,000 fine Tuesday and had his medical license put on probation for three months, newtimes.com reports.

The physician, who has offices on Osborne Street in Danbury and on Old New Milford Road in Brookfield, was fined by the Connecticut Medical Examining Board, the article says. A 63-year-old Bethel man died an untimely cancer death after a late diagnosis while Jarrett was practicing as his primary care doctor, the newstimes.com said.
