BROOKFIELD, Conn. — The Brookfield Police Department reminds residents that the town's annual Memorial Day Parade will step off Sunday at 2 p.m. — with road closures starting at 1:40 p.m.

All veterans are invited to attend the Annual Memorial Day Ceremony of Remembrance at Williams Park. Veterans wishing to attend should be at the park no later than 1:30 p.m.

The parade route will start at Brookfield High School and end at Center School.

A shuttle bus will be available from Center School Brookfield.

Road closures will be in effect until about 3:30 p.m. Please review the map and take alternate routes for the duration of the event.

The town's annual Strawberry Festival will take place in conjunction with the parade from 12:30 to 3 p.m. at the Brookfield Historical Society.
