DANBURY, Conn. — A Danbury woman blamed two cats for forcing her to swerve and crash into a utility pole guide wire on New Street, leaving her car suspended above the road, according to the WLAD-AM website.

The driver, Francoise St. Pierre, 52, suffered a minor facial injury and was charged with driving without insurance, failure to drive right and operating an unregistered vehicle, WLAD said.

New Street was closed between Stevens Street and West Street for the cleanup after the crash on Tuesday.
