FAIRFIELD COUNTY, Conn. – As open enrollment nears for people seeking health care in Connecticut, Access Health CT will be opening 10 new centers for customers to get help by Nov. 1.
Access Health CT will also relocate its enrollment centers in New Haven and New Britain. These centers will help customers get free help to sign up for healthcare coverage.
“We are exactly 50 days away from the beginning of open enrollment and with a shorter timeframe this year, we want explore the best and most efficient ways to help CT residents,” said AHCT CEO Jim Wadleigh. “The goal is to have in-person help available to anyone who needs it. The 10 locations will complement the help offered by state field offices and the hundreds of enrollment specialists like certified brokers and application counselors around Connecticut”.
The new centers will be in following cities and towns:
- East Hartford
- New Britain
- New Haven
“We want to make sure the locations are easy to get to. We want to be close to where people live and work, but also have public transit options and parking spots for easy access,” said Andrea Ravitz, AHCT’s Director of Marketing and Sales.
“The exact sites are not yet final.” said Ravitz. “We will share detailed information about specific locations as soon as they have been finalized, but for now we are looking at spaces in community health centers, public libraries, YMCAs etc.”
Aside from the enrollment locations, AHCT will also hold at least four enrollment fairs during the open enrollment period, allowing residents to come to other places and get help on the weekend.
