Lorraine Ciaiola, 67, Former New Fairfield Resident

NEW FAIRFIELD, Conn. -- Lorraine Ciaiola, a former resident of New Fairfield and Brewster, N.Y., died on Tuesday, Dec. 29, at the hospice in Danbury. She was 67.

Ciaiola grew up in the Bronx, N.Y. She got a master's degree from Mary Mount and worked for the Putnam County Health Department as a registered dietitian. She later became the director of the WIC Program.

She is survived by her daughter Heather and son-in-law Seth Murphy, as well as two grandchildren, Jacob and Katelyn.

She was predeceased by her husband of nearly 30 years, Michael Ciaiola, and her parents, Paul and Dorothy Caggiano.

A Mass will be celebrated at 10 a.m. on Jan. 2, at St. Lawrence O'Toole Church, 31 Prospect St., Brewster, N.Y., with burial to follow at Gate of Heaven Cemetery, in Hawthorne, N.Y. Arrangements were handled by the Beecher Funeral Home, in Brewster.
