BROOKFIELD, Conn. — Gregory A. Arnold of Brookfield died Saturday, July 15, as the result of a motorcycle accident. He was 60.

He was the husband of Sue (Wallner) Arnold. He was born in Danbury on March 31, 1957, the son of Muriel A. (Hartop) Arnold of Danbury and the late Antone Arnold. He was a graduate of Danbury High School, Class of 1976.

Arnold was looking forward to retirement in South Carolina after working for Connecticut Coining for 28 years.

Known as “Hammer,” by close friends and family, Arnold will be remembered for his love of the outdoors, riding his Harley, and his ability to set a roaring fire.

He took great pride in caring for his lawn, was an avid NASCAR fan and muscle car enthusiast. Some of his happiest moments were spent working on his prize possession, a 1967 GTO, on which he taught each of his daughters how to change the oil and swap out a tire. He was a lifelong fan of the New York Giants and the Yankees.
