Aaron Coderre of Brookfield, Connecticut was charged with criminal possession of a forged instrument in the first degree, a Class C felony, and petit larceny, a Class A misdemeanor,
Following an investigation conducted by state police, it was discovered that Coderre used counterfeit currency to purchase Xbox video gaming equipment. The incident occurred in the Town of Southeast on March 6, police said.
Coderre was arraigned at the Village of Brewster Court and was remanded to the Putnam County Jail in lieu of $1,500 cash bail or $3,000 bond.
