original story: BROOKFIELD, Conn. — Vale Road in Brookfield will be closed for an undetermined period of time Wednesday as repairs are made on a damaged utility pole, Brookfield police said.

The closure is between Sand Cut Road and Tead Road, police said. Eversource crews are on the scene and making repairs to a damaged utility pole.

Motorists and residents should expect this closure to last into early Wednesday afternoon, police said.

If motorists need access to Parkwood Road, they should detour to the Town of Bethel side of Vale Road via Stony Hill Road to Hawleyville Road, police.
