BROOKFIELD, Conn. — After six months of training and graduating from the Connecticut Police Academy, Brookfield's newest officer, Tommy Robbins, will join the force.

Robbins will be hitting the streets on Tuesday to start his 12-week Field Training phase, where he will learn all about the intricacies of Brookfield.

Robbins is a graduate of Danbury High School. He was sworn in Dec. 22, then began six months of training at the Connecticut Police Academy in Meriden.

He graduated Monday as a member of the 356th Class in the Basic Training Division at the Police Academy.

The graduation ceremony was held at Central Connecticut State University in New Britain, where Robbins was joined by friends, family and colleagues to celebrate.
