Shortly before 1:30 a.m. Fairfield police responded to a car that crashed into a tree on Sunfield Lane after exiting I-95 onto Mill Plain Road.

A preliminary investigation showed the black 2010 Honda Accord was driven by Brandon Dupee, 33, of Bridgeport, and his passenger was his sister, Lindsay Dupee, 31, of Stratford, police said.

Both were pronounced dead at the scene.

According to Norwalk Police, Brandon Dupee had been arrested just after 7 p.m. Tuesday and charged with operating a vehicle under the influence and possession of a controlled substance. He was released after posting a $500 bond.

Dupee had also split a $1 million lottery jackpot in 2011 with a neighbor, according to the Hour.

The case is under investigation by the Fairfield Police Crash Reconstruction Unit and both victims’ bodies were released to the state medical examiner for further investigation.
