Stamford Man, 72, Dies Of Injuries After Being Hit By Car

STAMFORD, Conn. -- A 72-year-old Stamford man died of his injuries after being hit by a car nearly two weeks ago, according to the Stamford Advocate.

Police told the Stamford Advocate that Gennaro Siviglia, 72, of Hanrahan Street died Tuesday morning from injuries that he sustained during the accident on Friday, Dec. 1. Siviglia was crossing West Broad Street from Hanrahan Street when he was hit by a car that was turning out of Mill River Street, the Advocate reported.

Siviglia suffered a head injury, and after being taken to the hospital it was discovered that he had bleeding in his brain, according to the Stamford Advocate. He remained hospitalized until his death Tuesday, the Advocate said.

The police investigation into the crash is ongoing.
