Teen Girl Shot In Ridgefield May Have Been Part Of Criminal Group

RIDGEFIELD, Conn. -- Police believe a 15-year-old shot in Ridgefield on Monday may have been part of a gang involved in car thefts in the area, according to the Ridgefield Press.

The Waterbury teen was shot in an incident on Hulda Lane on Monday morning, and later checked into a hospital with gunshot wounds, the Ridgefield Press reported. Police told the Ridgefield Press that the girl is expected to survive, and may be part of a group involved in criminal activity.

Police are still investigating the incident, and no charges have been filed against either the girl or the Ridgefield resident believed to have opened fire, according to the Ridgefield Press.
