Two Hurt In I-84 Tractor-Trailer Wreck In Newtown

NEWTOWN, Conn. -- Two people were injured when a tractor-trailer overturned Tuesday on eastbound Interstate 84 by the Exit 11 off-ramp in Newtown, according to Newstimes.com.

The Newtown Fire Department helped extricate a person trapped in a tractor-trailer accident on I-84 on Tuesday.

One person was trapped and had to be extricated, and another received minor injuries; both were transported to a local hospital, the report said.

The truck, carrying a full load of tires, did not break open, added the Newstimes.com.

The accident is still under investigation.
