Harding, who represents Brookfield, Bethel and Danbury, explained where the legislature is in the process of finalizing and implementing the budget, and how cuts to education and social services may impact the local area.
The senator also shared information regarding the legislation he supported this past session, and discussed priorities going forward.
“When I’m up in Hartford I’m thinking of the people in my district, and I want to make the right decisions for all of you,” he said. “I thank the Senior Center for having me. We had a great turnout, and I was happy to see that my constituents are taking time to learn about their state government and let their voice be heard in regards to what matters most to them. It really does make all the difference.”
