“This was such an eye-opening experience; I can’t thank Officer Joe Kyek, a three-year veteran of the police force and a Brookfield resident, enough for allowing me to join him on his patrol on Monday,” said Harding.

Harding was able to get an inside look at the and challenges law enforcement face on a daily basis. While at the department, Harding was also able to discuss important topics that affect policing at the local level.

Harding added, “There is so much to learn about keeping a community safe, and we in Brookfield have a great team of dedicated protectors out there taking chances each and every day for our benefit. I am so grateful to have had this first-hand experience, and to have spoken with the members of the Brookfield Police Department. I can now use what I learned this week to look out for their best interests up in Hartford.”
