These Fairfield County Zip Codes Have Highest Earners In America

As it turns out, being able to afford the cost of an expensive home does not necessarily mean living in an area where the priciest homes are located.

According to a new report by Property Shark, some of the highest paid homeowners in the U.S. live in Fairfield County.

These are the Fairfield County zip codes with the top-earning homeowners in the nation. (First number is median owner household income, second number is median sale price):

  • 93. Greenwich (06830): $189,107; $1.45 million
  • 74. Wilton (06897): $198,259; $701,250
  • 58. Norwalk (06853): $204,028; $1.18 million
  • 53. Old Greenwich (06870): $204,550; $1.35 million
  • 50. Westport (06880):  $204,962; $1.15 million
  • 47. Stamford (06903): $205,417; $660,000
  • 25. New Canaan (06840): $219,722; $1.249 million
  • 23. Weston (06883): $222,563; $759,500
  • 15. Darien (06820): $241,292; $1.32 million
  • 13. Riverside (06878): $246,458, $1.5 million

The highest-earning zip code in the U.S. is 10013 -- in Manhattan, which includes Tribeca and Soho. Homeowners bring in more than $250,000 annually and the median sale price of a house if $4.1 million.
