Danbury High Football Coach Steps Down After Three Seasons

DANBURY, Conn. — Alex Trasacco has resigned as the head football coach at Danbury High School, Athletic Director Chip Salvestrini said on Twitter.

"The Danbury Public Schools and Danbury HS Athletics would like to thank Coach Trasacco for his work, dedication and effort on behalf of the athletes he has mentored and coached," Salvestrini said.

The Hatters record this season was 1-9. Over Trasacco’s three seasons, the Hatters went 4-25.

Trasacco is also a teacher in the Technology Education Department at Danbury High. He teaches construction systems, architectural design, entertainment technology and graphic arts.

He is also the owner/instructor of Evolution Kicking Group, which trains high school and college kickers. 

Trasacco was a punter and place kicker at James Hillhouse High, Cheshire Academy and Southern Connecticut State College. 

He started his coaching career as the offensive line coach at Western Connecticut State University under head Coach Paul Pasqualoni, where he also coached the kickers.
