Heavy Rain On Monday Kicks Off Cool, Clear Week In Brookfield

FAIRFIELD COUNTY, Conn. -- Fairfield County residents can expect a wet start to the week on Monday, with heavy rain expected at times, though the rest of the week should see clear skies and relatively cool temperatures.

Monday will see showers, mainly after 10 a.m., according to the National Weather Service. The high will be near 70. The chance of precipitation is 90 percent, and rain could get heavy at times, with localized ponding of water in low lying areas also possible.

The rain will continue into the night, when the low will be 63. Between one and two inches of rain is possible, though the rain is expected to gradually taper off by Tuesday morning

Tuesday will be partly sunny, with a high near 78. Tuesday night will be mostly clear, with a low around 58.

It will be sunny on Wednesday, with a high near 80. Wednesday night will be mostly clear, with a low around 62.

Thursday will be mostly sunny, with a high near 82. Thursday night will be mostly cloudy, with a low around 63.

It will be partly sunny on Friday, when the high will be near 78. Friday night will be mostly cloudy, with a low around 63.
