FAIRFIELD COUNTY, Conn. -- Residents of Fairfield County will mostly get a preview of what the summer will look like this weekend, with warm weather and sunny skies expected. But there is the possibility of some showers and thunderstorms in the mix as well.

Friday is expected to be partly sunny with a high near 77, according to the National Weather Service. Conditions will be mostly dry, but a weak disturbance could trigger an isolated shower or thunderstorm today, mainly after 1 p.m. The chance of precipitation is 20 percent. The wind will be between 6 and 10 mph, though there could be gusts as high as 23 mph.

Friday night will be partly cloudy, with a low around 59.

Another weak disturbance will move through the area on Saturday, bringing with it another chance of isolated showers and thunderstorms, which would hit between noon and 3 p.m. Otherwise, the day will be partly sunny, with a high near 81. The chance of precipitation is 20 percent. Saturday night will be partly cloudy, with a low around 66.

Sunday will  be dry and warm. The skies will be sunny, and the high is predicted to be near 89. Sunday night will be mostly clear, with a low around 66.

Warm temperatures and sunny skies will last into next week. Monday is expected to be sunny, with a high near 90, while Tuesday will be mostly sunny with a high of 89.
