Burger King will be returning to Federal Road, with renovation now underway on a round building, which was previously a Webster Bank, near the intersection of Candlewood Lake Road and Federal Road.
A banner on the front of the building says "New Look, Coming Soon," with a photo of a Burger King. The lot is surrounded by a fence, and the building is in the first phase of a major renovation that will change its shape.
The site is at the edge of the Candlewood Plaza Shopping Center. And the Burger King will be next door to a Wendy's.

Federal Road previously had a Burger King, just to the north. That site is now home to Chick-Fil-A.
Just a bit to the south of the site is the future home of the Dunkin' Donuts. That building is also under renovation. It was formerly the home of Pizza Hut.
The exterior work on the building is largely complete, with much of the interior work left to do. The parking lot has been paved at the site, and the Dunkin' Donuts will have a drive-thru.
The Dunkin' Donuts at 7 Federal Road is near a Starbucks, which is on the opposite of the street, just across from Stew Leonard's and near the Danbury border.
There are already three Dunkin' Donuts in Brookfield — all on Federal Road.
The Candlewood Plaza Shopping Center, at Candlewood Lake Road and Federal Road, will also be undergoing a big renovation.
Michaels, the arts and crafts store, will move from its location in the corner into the larger space next door, which was previously an OfficeMax, according to the News-Times.
CVS will then move from the middle of the plaza to the corner space and add a drive-thru pharmacy, the News-Times said. The moves are expected in 2018.
