Fraud Case Against Former Brookfield Finance Chair Moved To January

BROOKFIELD, Conn. — A former Brookfield school district leader charged twice with fraud last spring and fall, will return to court Jan. 11 after the case was continued on Tuesday, newstimes.com reports.

Art Colley is charged with taking more than $53,000 from school funds and being reimbursed for iPads that were never purchased, the story says. He returns to state Superior Court in Danbury for a pre-trial hearing.

Colley resigned from the district in 2014. His former secretary, Elizabeth Kerekes, has been accused of misappropriating more than $30,000 in conjunction with him, says the article.
