SHERMAN, Conn. -- A Sherman man will be released from prison in October, serving only half of his seven years sentence on a bribery charge, according to WLAD.com.
The Connecticut Board of Pardons and Paroles granted early release to Dominic Badaracco, 79, who was sentenced in 2013 to seven years for trying to bribe a judge in a case regarding his missing wife. Long a suspect in the disappearance of Mary Badaracco in 1984, he was never charged with her murder, said WLAD.com.
He was convicted of offering his former attorney, Judge Robert Burnetti, $100,000, to influence the investigation, added WLAD.com.
