Brookfield Man Killed In Crash After Another Car Crosses Median Of I-84

BROOKFIELD, Conn. -- A Brookfield man died in a car crash on Sunday, Oct. 25, when an 18-year-old lost control of her car on I-84 in Middlebury and struck the man's Porsche, according to the Hartford Courant.com.

The accident occurred about 10 p.m. near the South Street bridge, police said.

Erica S. Weinman, 18, of Colts Neck, N.J. was driving east on I-84 when her Ford Escape crossed over the center median and struck the westbound car driven by Kevin J. Klein, 59, of Bonny Road, Trooper Gerard M. Danso told the Hartford Courant.com.

Klein was transported to Waterbury Hospital, where he was pronounced dead, said the Hartford Courant.com. A passenger in his car was taken to the hospital with injuries, the Courant said.
