Pete Frengs was promoted to the rank of Captain, where he will join Chief James Purcell and Major John Puglisi on the Department's Command staff.

Captain Frengs graduated from Brookfield High School in 1996, joined the Brookfield Police Department in 2001, and was promoted to the rank of Sergeant in 2009.

Chief Purcell, Major Puglisi, and Captain Frengs fill vacancies created by the retirement of Chief Robin Montgomery in January. The Brookfield Police Department will begin a selection process to fill the vacant Sergeant position created by Capt. Frengs' promotion.

The department also anticipates starting a selection process for a new officer to begin in the near future.
