Brookfield Voters Send Republicans Miner, Harding To State Legislature

BROOKFIELD, Conn. — Brookfield voters chose two Republicans to represent them in the state legislature during Tuesday's election.

In State Senate District 30, Republican Craig A. Miner defeated Democrat David A. Lawson

In the State House District 107, Stephen G. Harding, a Republican incumbent, ran unopposed and won. 

In a local Brookfield race for registrars of voters, Dorothy A. Dori, a Democrat, and Ryan Murphy, a Republican, were elected.

For the U.S. House, Rep. Elizabeth Esty, a Democrat, defeated the challenge from Republican Clay Cope of Sherman.

For the U.S. Senate, Sen. Richard Blumenthal, a Democrat, won re-election by topping Republican challenger Dan Carter of Bethel. Carter did not seek re-election to the State House due to his Senate run.
