BROOKFIELD, Conn.. -- The Brookfield School District has hired a new director of business operations, the fifth since 2014 when then Finance Director Art Colley was arrested for larceny, according to WLAD.com.
Ken Post of Bethel, who held a similar position in Wilton, has been hired as the new director. Post has a master's degree in education, said WLAD.com.
Colley, who is still awaiting trial, is accused of stealing thousands of dollars from the school district. He was arrested twice last year and has pleaded not guilty to fraud charges. His former assistant, Elizabeth Kerekes, who was also charged with larceny and fraud, has applied for a special probationary program.
Post replaces Al Cameron, who plans to retire at the end of the school year after one year with the district, according to WLAD.com.
