SHERMAN, Conn. — The Sherman School will have a two-hour delay on Friday Dec 17, due to the extremely cold temperatures.
The announcement was made Thursday night via Twitter.
The overnight low temperature is forecast at a frigid 7 degrees, with winds of 15 to 17 mph and gusts of up to 55 mph making it feel like it's -5 to 0 degrees.
Some isolated snow showers are also possible overnight into Friday morning, according to the National Weather Service.
The rest of Friday will be sunny, with temperatures warming to high near 21 degrees, but with wind chill values between -5 and 5.
